Autumn

My apologies for the long waiting but finally here is a new story about Finland. Since September a lot has happened, I visited Turku, this is the old capital of Finland. Most impressive was a museum we visited, where we could walk in the 'old' medieval Turku under ground. This is a archeological site where old remains of Medieval Turku is founded and still is growing! Besides this museum we visited the Cathedral, Castle and wandered around. Autumn arrived in Finland quite early and this was the ultimate time to folllow Finish traditions and spend time in nature. So, me and friends, went to a cottage in the middle of nature. It was beautiful. Ofcourse we had our own sauna and jumped into the freezing lake afterwards.

This weekend we also visited one of the national parks in Finland, this was amazing. Everywhere we saw the colours; yellow, orange and red. It was magical.

In Finnish they name this phenomenom 'Ruska'. A feeling of harmony and cosiness is often associated with autumn leaf colour. Finding a spot with a good view over the landscape make your everyday worries a distant memory.

During autumn you can find many mushrooms and berries.
